Isolde Martin was born in a small town in Germany located on the banks of the Danube, right on the border with Austria. She spent her childhood on a farm in the Bavarian country side on the northern edge of the Alps. In her teens and early twenties she lived, studied and worked in Munich. In 1972 she started her university studies in the United States finishing with her Bachelor Degree in Psychology at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Her Masters in Psychology followed in 1981 in Houston, Texas. She has worked as a psychologist and art psychotherapist in five different countries and cultures. Currently she lives again in Germany.
